Outdoor furniture made of unpainted wood looks great the first year, but it can get pretty ratty in subsequent years. Here are a few tips to bring the luster back to your outdoor furniture.

Place Rattan, bamboo or Wicker furniture undercover

If your outdoor wood furniture goes gray:

• sand it lightly to restore original color
• applying deck conditioner can bring back the natural tannins in the wood

To scrub wood furniture mix: 1 part Simple Green with 2 parts water

Add: 1 cup bleach per gallon for moldy furniture
